Welcome to the VIDA travel clinic!

What We Offer

Pre-travel consultation

Pre-travel consultations are provided by our Infectious Disease specialists that have 18 years experience in travel medicine. Our physicians make recommendations for vaccines and prescriptions for each individual based on their medical history, planned itinerary and style of travel, accommodations and dietary adventurousness. Special consideration is given to length of travel and specific destinations within a country.

Consultation clients are given a printed, individualized packet of generalized travel-related health information and up-to-date detailed country-specific travel risk information, guidelines for disease prevention (including insect defense) and certificates of immunization (including Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, if appropriate).

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are given right after the consultation, unless a different time is desired. Written prescriptions are provided for oral medicines, which can be filled at your local pharmacy.

Phone consultation, prescriptions and vaccines are available to prior clients of the clinic, if the new travel is within one year and the itinerary is similar.

Non-consultation vaccinations

Our clinic also offers immunizations (travel and non-travel) for adults and children with a prescription from another physician. If you require vaccinations for travel, work, school or a Green Card but have no primary care doctor, we can provide the specific vaccinations. You must provide an official form, stating the vaccines required.

  • Post travel consultation with travel related illnesses

According to the CDC, 21% of international travelers will experience a travel related illness. The majority of these illnesses are related to an underlying medical condition or due to lack of pre-travel preparation and careful adherence to safe travel practices. Our pre-travel patients are encouraged to talk with their primary care provider before seeking a post travel appointment and referral with our physicians. Post-travel illness appointments are scheduled in our medical office.
